Understanding Acidosis
Your daily intake should be 20% acidic and 80% alkalizing foods.
A diet out of balance causes the body to need to compensate. It does so by robbing minerals:
- When it robs calcium from the bones, you can develop a weak back which after long enough periods of time can cause Osteoporosis (low bone density)
- When it robs sodium from the joints, it will cause them to start to lock up and crack. After a time, the immune system will attack the acidic cells of the joint which might be called "arthritis" by the medical profession
- When it robs minerals from the muscles, ligaments, and tendons, it increases the likelihood of an injury or tear. The muscles can get sore (remember the heart is also a muscle)
- When it robs minerals from the lining of the intestinal track or if the body tries to eliminate acid through the intestinal track, you could develop pain in the intestine (lower abdomen), colitis, diarrhea, crohn's and irritable bowel
- When it robs from the lining of the esophagus, you can develop heartburn. If enough erosion happens, it can prevent the sphincter muscle at the top of the stomach from closing properly which is the cause of acid reflux or GERD. Damage to the esophagus can cause difficulty in swallowing or a narrowing of the esophagus.
The body dumps through the 4 eliminating systems:
- Through the lungs can cause asthma. If acid settles in the sinus, the body will try to dilute it with mucus, which can result in post nasal drip or sinus problems
- Through the urinary system can cause blood in the urine and bladder irritation and later on kidney damage
- Through the skin can cause scalding, gawlding or psoriasis
- Through the bowel can cause diarrhea, colitis, crohn's, IBS, etc.
The body uses enzymes to break down abnormal cells in the body. Enzymes cannot work where there is acid. Therefore, the body cannot protect you from the growth of abnormal cells. That is why they say acid feeds cancer cells. Actually, it protects the cancer cells from the immune system which uses enzymes to digest the abnormal cells so they can be eliminated.
Cells of the tissue of our body, organs, and glands cannot not readily absorb nutrients when the pH is off. So, the body's over all health starts to deteriorate.

Items marked with an * after, I believe, should be cut out completely. Items marked with a + after, should not be used if the source is GMO (genetically modified also called BioEngineered).
Fruits such as oranges and grapefruit and berries such as strawberries can be both acidic and alkalizing depending on ripening. If they are sweet, they are alkalizing. When they are bitter or sour they are acidifying.
(Modified chart of Dr. Theodore Baroody, Ph.D., N.D.). Your diet should be 80% alkalizing foods and only 20% acidic foods to maintain correct pH balance.
Besides diet, STRESS and digestion can cause a pH imbalance
Formulas such as: PDA(which contains HCL - Hydrochloric acid. Deficiency symptom may be burping), Proactazyme (which contains enzymes. Deficiency symptom may be bloating or passing gas) or Food Enzymes (which contains both). have been reported by many to help aid digestion.
There is a theory that herbs in a combination much like one called JNT-A can draw out acid from the body.
I believe that your saliva pH should be 6.5 and the Urine should average 6.5.
I suggest using pH testing strips, because, symptoms alone can not determin pH. If you are alkalilne, I suggest you contact a professional to help you with rebalancing.
